Property Description

Spectacular Lake Estate on Brevort Lake in an Upper Peninsula Paradise. Rare opportunity to own 640 ft of pristine frontage on one of Michigan's most sought after all-sports lakes. Nestled on the southern shore of Brevort Lake in the beautiful Upper Peninsula, this rare park-like private setting offers two fully furnished year-round homes on a secluded parcel just minutes from historic St. Ignace and the Mackinac Bridge. The main residence is perched just steps from the sandy shoreline, the 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath ranch home is wrapped in cultured stone and encircled on three sides by a stunning brick patio perfect for entertaining or quiet lakeside mornings. Inside, a handsome stone fireplace with new gas insert anchors the living room, while his-and-her offices and a workshop/tool room with garage door access to the patio, make this a truly functional year-round retreat. The popular guest cottage is just 50 ft west. The charming "Bear Guest Cottage" is clad in vinyl shake siding and features a newer roof and windows. Inside, you'll find a large bedroom and full bath, a delightful 1956 vintage kitchen, and a spacious living room lined with white knotty pine walls. A white grand piano, built-in bookshelves, and panoramic lake and forest views complete the picture of peaceful elegance. A cool historical note is that the original owners built the guest cottage when Dwight D. Eisenhower was coming for a visit. Later, Jed Bush was also a guest of the "Bear Cottage". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brevoort_Lake
