Property Description
This secluded oasis nestled in the Huron National Forest is a rare and extraordinary property boasting over 20 acres of prime hunting land and 1,000 feet of private frontage along beautiful Big Creek, one of Michigan's finest blue ribbon trout streams. Put in at the private dock and paddle upstream or point your kayak downstream and enjoy a day trip along the Au Sable River. Enjoy your morning coffee or relax in the evening on one of the many decks and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds. The house was built in 1978 for a demanding client with exacting standards. Details such as commercial-grade baseboard heaters, commercial kitchen sink, custom made kitchen cabinets and Vermont wood burning stove speak to the quality of the construction. Recent upgrades and updates include new cork flooring on the first floor, select Andersen Renewal windows and patio doors, smart thermostats, Starlink satellite set up, newly laid gravel driveway and new plumbing fixtures. The property also comes with a beautiful 1909-built barn with a charming rustic apartment attached. The apartment features a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. Start (or finish) your day watching the forest through the one-way window in the spacious sauna fitted with a wood-burning Nippa stove.
